Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Interactive Digital, Experimental, Administration and Learning (IDEAL) Centre at PM Shri Raigad Zilla Parishad Primary School in Vahal, Panvel, during the Shala Praveshotsav 2026 (School Enrolment Festival). The initiative is aimed at enhancing digital learning infrastructure and improving the quality of education in government schools across the state.

The newly launched centre has been equipped with modern educational technology to create an interactive and inclusive learning environment for students.

The IDEAL Centre offers a range of digital learning facilities, including multilingual audio-visual lessons, interactive learning tools, online assessment systems, e-desks, an e-podium, interactive whiteboards and computer-based learning resources.

Educational content has been made available for students from Classes 1 to 8 in English, Marathi and Urdu, enabling learners from different linguistic backgrounds to access classroom material more effectively.

The centre houses 24 computers for students along with a dedicated computer system for teachers. It has also been designed to operate up to 90 percent offline, ensuring uninterrupted access to digital learning resources even in areas where internet connectivity is limited.

This feature is expected to improve the reach of technology-enabled education in rural and semi-urban schools.

Addressing students, teachers and parents at the event, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said digital initiatives and educational reforms are helping transform Zilla Parishad schools and encouraging more families to enrol their children in government institutions.

He noted that technology can make classroom learning more engaging while improving educational outcomes.

The Chief Minister also emphasised the importance of holistic education, urging schools to promote constitutional values, civic responsibility, environmental awareness, cleanliness and social responsibility alongside academic learning.

The launch of the IDEAL Centre forms part of Maharashtra’s broader efforts to modernise public education and create technology-enabled classrooms. By integrating digital infrastructure with traditional teaching methods, the state aims to equip students with future-ready skills while making quality education more accessible across government schools.
