Union Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated a new International Baccalaureate (IB) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) school in Borivali West, Mumbai, on Sunday. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the Institution Auditorium, Goyal said the new institution would play an important role in strengthening educational opportunities for children in the region.
During the event, the Union Minister acknowledged the contribution of senior BJP leader Ganesh Khankar, praising his long-standing commitment to the development of the Mumbai North region.
Addressing the gathering, Goyal described the inauguration as a significant milestone for the local community.
He said Ganesh Khankar had dedicated his life to serving the people of the region and working towards creating better opportunities for future generations. Congratulating Khankar, his family and local party workers, Goyal expressed confidence that the new school would become an important centre for learning and contribute to the educational growth of children in the area.
He also said the institution would support the long-term development of the community by providing access to quality education.
The Union Minister also appreciated BJP corporator Manisha Chaudhary for her public service and expressed confidence that elected representatives would continue working together to improve civic infrastructure and promote the overall development of the locality.
According to Goyal, collective efforts by local leaders would help create a better environment for residents while supporting educational and social progress.
Earlier this week, Piyush Goyal chaired a review meeting with officials of the National Productivity Council to discuss measures aimed at improving institutional efficiency and strengthening coordination among government departments.
The meeting, attended by representatives from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Department of Commerce, focused on adopting best practices to enhance productivity, build institutional capacity and improve public service delivery.
The inauguration of the new IB and CBSE school reflects the continued emphasis on expanding quality educational infrastructure and providing students with access to diverse learning opportunities in Mumbai.
